Our Story
I was a product junkie, third year marketing major in University, in love with my part-time job in the beauty world. I enjoyed helping clients and was obsessed and confused by my newly natural hair. Given that I had an abundance of beauty options, I was deprived when it came to hair care. I just wanted the good stuff I was seeing on IG, all in the U.S. at the time. I thought "What if there was a way to bring that same style of playful beauty finding to hair care?- curly natural hair to be specific." August 2016 I launched my first box.
We set about a simple mission years ago, which was rooted in a personal goal. To become confident and to have great curls. To help others be confident in their curls. We learned confidence comes from that inner work. Curls we can be your product guide, we have everything you need. We enjoy what we do, we hope you do too.
Now we are a retailer for Natural hair care brands in Canada, we have a quarterly subscription box, and recently launched our own skincare line Cicada Skincare.

Growth
Humble Beginnings
This was my first show ever, a charity entrepreneur street fest for student business. My best friend made me the banner the night before. This was summer of my third year of University when I took the leap of faith to start my own business. I didn't make a single sale that day. I did what I could, with what I had, and kept trusting the process.
Friendships
Brands and Clients have given me a valuable gift, Friendship. This journey wouldn't be much fun with just myself. I thank each and every one of you for being part of my business, guiding me, accepting me into a sisterhood of curls, and for believing in me.
It's because of you that makes all this work.
Brand Relationships
My brand partnerships are everything. Bringing my clients brands they want to try aswell as brands they need to try is what makes me love my business. We bring the best of the the best on board, and I get blessed from the learning from the best.
